Enshrouded Crossplay and Console Status: What Keen Has Said
Short version: As of Oct 29, 2026, Keen's Oct 13 launch FAQ says Enshrouded "will not be cross-platform at launch" and that Keen is working on it with "no current estimate". Below: a dated timeline of the Steam posts that mention consoles or cross-platform play, and a short list of what those posts settle and what they leave open.
As of Oct 29, 2026: Keen Games’ Oct 13 launch FAQ says “Enshrouded will not be cross-platform at launch”, and that Keen is working on cross-platform play with “no current estimate on how much time it will take us.” We have not seen a later Steam post that changes that. This page only repeats what Keen has written. It does not guess whether or when crossplay will arrive.

These are the Steam announcements for Enshrouded (app 1203620) that mention consoles, PS5 or cross-platform play. Dates are UTC, taken from each post’s publish time on Steam.

What the posts settle, and what they don’t
Settled by Keen’s own words
- At 1.0 launch, Enshrouded is not cross-platform (Oct 13 FAQ).
- Keen says it is working on cross-platform play (Oct 13 FAQ).
- Keen has said there is no time estimate (Oct 13 FAQ).
- Keen has talked about Enshrouded on PlayStation and Xbox before. In Nov 2023 it said consoles would come later, and in Aug 2024 it planned a “full launch on PC, Playstation and Xbox consoles” for 2025.
- Keen was demoing “the PS5 version” to the games press at Gamescom in Aug 2026 (Aug 27 post).
Not settled in these posts
- Which platforms can play together once crossplay exists. The FAQ does not name any.
- When crossplay, or the console versions, will be out. The only console date in these posts is “2025”, from Aug 2024, and the Oct 2026 FAQ gives no estimate for crossplay.
- Whether the PlayStation or Xbox versions have launched. None of the five posts above says so, and the 1.0 launch post lists no platforms. Check the PlayStation Store or Xbox Store listing for that.
- How crossplay would interact with dedicated servers, saves or character transfer. Keen has not written about it.
